Giancarlo Da-Ré spent his career inside the Ontario government’s most consequential files. As Executive Director of Policy to the Premier, he worked across a portfolio spanning public safety, emergency management, justice, critical infrastructure, transportation, housing, and procurement.
Before the Premier’s office, he was Director of Policy and Stakeholder Relations to the Solicitor General, the ministry responsible for policing, firefighting, private security, and corrections in Canada’s largest province. He built his foundation there in law enforcement policy, auto theft and bail reform, organized retail crime, public safety technology, cancer prevention investments for firefighters, and next generation 9-1-1 infrastructure, following earlier roles advising ministers across the Ontario government.
